Max Biaggi says he 'more focused than ever' to further his advantage in the World Superbike Championship standings having multiplied his lead with a superb double victory at Misano.

The Italian, who turned 41-years-old this week, supplemented his consistent form with a maximum points' haul of 50 points at Misano, which when coupled to indifferent form amongst his rivals saw him increase his advantage to a comfortable 38.5 points.

Allowing him some breathing space heading to round eight of the series at Motorland Aragon, Biaggi is feeling more confident about his title aspirations, but is refusing to discount the opposition ahead of the Spanish event.

"The Misano races left a nice memory," the Aprilia rider said. "The team is working well and I'm more focused than ever, even though the tests last week didn't go as we'd hoped, so we'll have to get the most out of what we have to work with.

"Those who were unlucky at Misano will certainly be eager to redeem themselves, so I expect the qualifying sessions and races to be extremely tight, where small details and motivation will make the difference."
