Max Biaggi says his impressive record at Brno provides no certainties of a victory challenge heading into this year's event, even though he arrives as the form man in the World Superbike Championship.

The Italian currently commands a 48 point advantage over Marco Melandri in the overall standings having won three of the last four races and many expect him to extend his advantage in the Czech Republic this weekend.

Indeed, Biaggi has notched up 11 wins around the sweeping, undulating circuit in various disciplines over the years, including three WSBK wins over the last three seasons, earning him the mantle of being a Brno specialist.

Despite this, the Aprilia rider says past form is no guarantee of success, pointing out once more that his rivals' improvements this year make it difficult to make any firm predictions.

"Arriving at Brno as ranking leader certainly adds pressure," he insists. "This year, more than any other, we have battled and earned every result, against strong rivals and seasoned teams.

"The 11 wins I've taken here do not provide any certainties. Even if this is a track where we have always been strong we cannot delude ourselves. The improvements our adversaries have made are quite clear. We will have to give it our all and make no mistakes."
