Giugliano brings Superpole to a halt

World Superbike qualifying halted during Superpole 2 at Brno.
Saturday's Superpole qualifying session at Brno has been halted due to a technical failure for Ducati's Davide Giugliano.

With title leader Max Biaggi the main casualty during Superpole 1, Giugliano's 1199 began spewing fluids early in the second stage of qualifying.

Giugliano, BMW Italia's Ayrton Badovini and local star Jakub Smrz were among those to fall on the fluid. All walked away although Badovini's BMW suffered major damage.

Red flags followed to allow for an hour of track cleaning, with the S2 restart time set for 16:30.

Fixi Crescent Suzuki team-mates Leon Camier (13th) and John Hopkins (16th), plus Kawasaki's Loris Baz (15th) joined Biaggi in going no further than Superpole 1 and will thus form row four of Sunday's grid.
