Fast all weekend and a front row qualifier, Eugene Laverty 'deserved more' than his fifth places in Sunday's Brno World Superbike races.
The Factory Aprilia rider struggled during the drying first race, then suffered grip problems in the afternoon outing.
“I'm not happy with these two fifth place finishes because we could have done much better,” said the Irishman.
“Unfortunately in Race 1 we chose the wrong tyre, and then in Race 2 we ran into grip problems that we had only had in the second qualifiers and Superpole 1.
“It's a shame because we deserved more today. We're taking home some important points, but definitely not as many as we had hoped for”.
Laverty is seventh in the championship standings, which continues to be led by team-mate Max Biaggi, who finished sixth and fourth at Brno.
