Davies keen to show progress at home

Chaz Davies wants to give a more convincing performance in front of home fans at Silverstone following a solid first attempt at Donington Park.
Chaz Davies is optimistic he will be able to show fans exactly far he has come between home rounds as he prepares for his second British outing of the year at Silverstone.

Davies was competing in only his fifth WSBK event aboard the ParkinGO MTC Aprilia at Donington Park, but while that round signalled a belated first top ten finish of the season for the Welshman, he has since gone on to shine with a series of outstanding performances.

Already a podium winner following an excellent ride to third at Motorland Aragon, that result – coupled to two fourth places - have rocketed Davies up to tenth in the overall standings, a position he is keen to improve upon as he prepares to capitalise on home soil advantage.

"I'm looking forward to Silverstone. I feel that the race is well timed in the calendar for me, because I'm just starting to grasp Superbike racing.

“We've come a long way in the last four races in terms of experience in WSBK, so I hope to use everything I've learnt to best effect at Silverstone and put on a show for the home crowd. I have a lot of friends and family coming which is always good for a few tenths of a second!"
