Marco Melandri is hoping he can make it three wins in three years at Motorland Aragon after declaring himself 'confident' that he has made a full recovery from his recent shoulder surgery.

The Italian had raised concerns that his troublesome shoulder wouldn't have healed in time for the second round of the season in Spain, but a recent test in Jerez went a long way to allaying those fears,

With an impressive track record at Motorland Aragon, which has seen him finish first and second in both 2011 and 2012, Melandri has high hopes of another strong performance aboard the BMW GoldBet Motorrad S1000RRR this year.

"I am looking forward to be in Arag?n. I am very optimistic. For sure it will not be an easy race, but I am confident that I have fixed the shoulder problems I suffered from. I don't feel hindered anymore when riding, even if I am still lacking resilience. We worked a lot after the Australian round in order to close the gap to Aprilia and we have done a very good job.

"I like Arag?n; it is a great track. It is a very technical and fast circuit. It will be the ideal venue to verify the work we have done. My only wish is that we finally will have good weather."

Despite his shoulder pain, Melandri scored a podium at the Phillip Island opener.
