WSBK Aragon 2013: 'Perfect base' for Baz

Loris Baz is hoping a 'perfect base' setting heading into this weekend's Motorland Aragon round will see him hit the ground running.
Loris Baz believes he has a 'perfect base' from which to start when the second round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship at Motorland Aragon gets underway this weekend.

Following a strong run to the top six on his debut outing at Phillip Island in February, Baz will be visiting Aragon as a Kawasaki rider for the second time in his career with a view to building on his fine showing in Australia.

Indeed, having recently completed three days of private testing at the circuit, Baz is confident he is well placed to hit the ground running when the race weekend begins.

“I think that we improved our feeling with the front in our recent tests and I think we have taken a step forward on the whole bike as well. I am confident for the race now. We also tried out a qualifying tyre in the tests to improve what I can gain in one fast lap and we did well with that.

“I think we have improved everything. I am happy to go racing and we still have some new things to try. We will fight during the race weekend as we did a lot of laps to get a good race pace in testing. We had a good test and the base to start from is perfect.”
