Jonathan Rea will be hopeful of protecting his superb record at Assen as the Pata Honda rider looks forward to the Ten Kate team's home round of the World Superbike Championship this weekend.

Northern Ireland rider Rea has won on each of his last three visits to the spectacular Dutch circuit and the third round of the championship represents his best chance so far this season of challenging for the rostrum positions on the CBR1000RR Fireblade.

Rea, whose best result at the opening two rounds was fourth in race one at Aragon, is currently ninth in the points table.
