Fabrizio Lai has been drafted in to replace the injured Alexander Lundh for the fourth round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship at Monza.

The Pedercini Kawasaki rider broke his collarbone in an accident during the third event Assen, forcing him to sit out the Dutch races and now the Italian round.

As such, Lundh's place will be assumed by Lai, who races with Pedercini Kawasaki in the Italian-based CIV Superstock Championship. Lai is no stranger to WSBK competition having made 10 starts, most recently in 2011 when he rode the Castrol Honda at Silverstone.
