Chaz Davies hopes to hit the ground running at Donington Park this weekend.

Davies' BMW team-mate Marco Melandri won last year's opening race at the British track on the factory S1000RR and Davies expects to benefit from the data gained by the team in 2012.

The Welsh rider is currently lying in fifth position in the World Superbike Championship ahead of the fifth round this weekend, claiming a memorable double at Motorland Aragon in April.
