Lorenzo Savadori will step up to the World Superbike Championship at the Moscow Raceway this weekend after being drafted in as a replacement for the injured Alexander Lundh at Team Pedercini.

The Italian currently completes for Pedercini Kawasaki in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup, but with no Superstock action scheduled for the series' second visit to Russia the 20-year-old has been called up to replace Lundh on the Superbike specification of the ZX-10R.

Joining Federico Sandi in an all-Italian line-up, Savadori's WSBK race debut comes after he was given the opportunity to ride the Superbike during testing at Imola recently.

Savadori is classified sixth in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup standings with one victory to his name at Monza.
