Sylvain Guintoli has paid tribute to the late Andrea Antonelli as he prepares for the ninth round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship at Silverstone.

The Frenchman overcame a painful shoulder injury to finish sixth in what would become the only race of the day last time out in Russia, in doing so regaining the championship lead.

However, Guintoli's thoughts following that event and leading up to this weekend's round at Silverstone would remain with Antonelli, who was tragically killed in an accident during the World Supersport race.
