The growing list of injured riders in the World Superbike Championship shows no sign of abating as Max Neukirchner became the fourth full-time rider to withdraw from this weekend's inaugural round in Turkey.

With Jonathan Rea out with a broken femur, Loris Baz withdrawing on the morning of the event due to ongoing back concerns and Leon Camier looking highly doubtful due to a broken foot sustained in FP1, Neukirchner is preparing to return to Germany to undergo surgery for a hand injury he picked up in his own crash during FP1.

The German fell from his MR Racing Ducati 1199 Panigale towards the end of the session, sustaining a broken right hand that will reportedly require surgery.
