Damp conditions ensured there would be no changes for position on the timesheets following Q2 at Istanbul Park, with Sylvain Guintoli remaining quickest.
With a slippery surface consigning riders to the pit lane, save for the occasional exploratory lap, the final order from Q1 would remain unchanged with Guintoli ahead of Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty.
It means Ayrton Badovini, who was on pole position last time out at the Nurburgring, won't make it through to Superpole having been forced to miss Q1 after hurting his foot in FP1. Though the Italian has been passed fit to race, he didn't venture onto circuit in Q2.
However, with Leon Camier, Carlos Checa, Max Neukirchner and Loris Baz all out of action this weekend with their respective injuries, each of the 15 riders that were able to take part in Q1 progress to Superpole.
This means local wild-cards Tolga Urpak and Yunus Ercelik will be involved in Superpole, despite being seven and eight seconds off the ultimate pace, while Vittorio Iannuzzo and Federico Sandi are also through into the next phase for the first time this season.
