Australian Superbike Championship front runner Glen Allerton has confirmed he will be heading Stateside for a wild-card appearance in the World Superbike Championship event at Laguna Seca.

The Australian, currently classified third in the ASBK standings, competed at the World Superbike opener at Phillip Island earlier in the season, scoring a best finish of 12th position.

Now Allerton has announced that he will resume battle with the WSBK regulars by joining the series for its return to Laguna Seca, the former ASBK champion lining up on the Next-Gen BMW S1000RR.
