David Salom anticipates a 'difficult challenge' at Laguna Seca this weekend as he takes over Loris Baz's ride in the Kawasaki World Superbike team.

Supersport contender Salom will partner title protagonist Tom Sykes at the American round as Frenchman Baz continues to recover from a back injury suffered at the Nurburgring.

It will be Salom's first experience of the Kawasaki ZX-10R and the former Team Pedercini Supersport rider, who missed the early part of this season with a hand injury, is ready to grasp the opportunity.
