Althea Aprilia's Davide Giugliano is focused on finishing off the 2013 World Superbike season on a high, starting this weekend at Laguna Seca.
A total of three rounds remain and Giugliano is hoping for a boost following a series of mixed results on the RSV4.
The Italian rider has highlighted the importance of finding a strong set-up quickly at Laguna, which will host race one on Saturday with the second race taking place on Sunday – the first time in WSBK history that both races have not taken place on the same day.
“I've only seen the Laguna Seca track on TV and know it for its famous Corkscrew corner. It looks like a spectacular track, fast and varied, with undulating sections,” said Giugliano.
“I hope to learn it as quickly as possible, because the two qualifying sessions are on Friday, while Saturday we have the Superpole and the race.
“So it's really important to work quickly to find a good set-up for our Aprilia, though it won't be easy seeing as we have no data of course,” he added.
“In recent rounds we've had mixed results and also for this reason I want to do all I can to perform as well as possible in these last three rounds of the 2013 season and score some good results.”
Giugliano finished fifth and ninth in the previous round at Istanbul Park in Turkey and is tenth overall in the championship table.
