American rider Blake Young is determined to grasp the opportunity to ride the Fixi Crescent Suzuki at Laguna Seca this weekend with both hands.

Young, last year's AMA Superbike Championship runner-up, has been drafted into the World Superbike team to replace the injured Leon Camier and has plenty of knowledge of the famous American circuit, where he has raced many times in the past.

The 26-year-old said: "I still can't believe I've been given this opportunity and I can't wait to get on the bike.

"I'm really excited about the weekend ahead. I've always had pretty good success with the GSX-R1000 and Suzuki and I'm looking forward to getting back out at Laguna and seeing all the fans," he added.

"Once again a big thank you to the FIXI Crescent Suzuki team for this opportunity."

Young has made wild-card appearances for Attack Performance in the three US-based MotoGP rounds this season, finishing 21st in Texas.
