Loris Baz will miss his home round of the World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours this weekend as he continues to recover from injury.

The young French rider, who suffered a fractured vertebra following a spill at the Nurburgring in Germany last month, now hopes to return for Kawasaki at the final round at Jerez in Spain on October 20.

Baz's place in the team alongside Tom Sykes will again be taken over by David Salom, who secured a top ten result at Laguna Seca last weekend with ninth place in race two.
