Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki testing as WSBK test ban ends

Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki waste no time in starting its preparations for the new season as the WSBK winter testing ban comes to an end.
The countdown to the 2014 World Superbike Championship is well underway with Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki amongst those to signal the end of the winter testing ban with outings in Portugal and Spain.

With the start of the season now just five weeks away, most of the teams will participate in a series of private tests in the coming weeks before flying out to Australia for three days of official testing. The opening round at Phillip Island will then take place the following weekend.

Amongst those in action today is Pata Honda, which is testing at Portimao with its Superbike and Supersport team (as well as Miguel Praia riding a Superstock bike), while Voltcom Suzuki and the title-winning Kawasaki Racing team are out in force at Almeria.

Over the coming days, Ducati, MV Agusta and Aprilia will join the tests, as well as a handful of Supersport teams, while Suzuki and Kawasaki are also scheduled to test at Portimao and Jerez respectively prior to leaving for Australia.
