The opening round of the 2014 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island is now less than a week away, but action around the Phillip Island circuit begins even sooner than that with the first and only official pre-season test.
Thus far testing has taken place sporadically across Europe with only unofficial timing, but the pre-event two-day test at Phillip Island will provide a stronger gauge of form prior to the much anticipated curtain raiser on 21-23 February.
Taking place on 17th and 18th February (Monday and Tuesday), the test is set to see 25 riders go up against one another in the World Superbike class, including 15 championship class riders and ten new EVO class riders.
In all, the WSBK riders will get eight hours of testing time across the two days… and Crash.net
