Rainy conditions played their part on the third and final day of World Superbike private testing at Jerez, with those present completing only minimal running around the Spanish circuit.
With intermittent rain consigning most to the pit lane for much of the day, only a handful of quick laps were completed during a short period when the circuit was dry with Aprilia's Sylvain Guintoli turning in the fastest time, albeit two seconds off Davide Giugliano's record-breaking pace from day two.
Suzuki's Alex Lowes was second fastest, ahead of Jonathan Rea, while Phillip Island race winner Eugene Laverty was fourth best despite slipping off unhurt.
Kawasaki riders Tom Sykes and Loris Baz completed wet laps, albeit without transponders, while David Salom skipped the final day after injuring his hand in an accident.
