Reigning British Superbike Champion Alex Lowes feels he has the opportunity to show his true potential in the World Superbike Championship at Assen as he prepares for his first WSBK event around a familiar circuit.

After a headline-grabbing performance at Phillip Island, Lowes endured a somewhat trickier weekend at Motorland Aragon as both he and the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team struggled to get dialled into the Spanish circuit.

Ending his weekend with a tenth place finish and a crash, Lowes is turning his attentions to round three at Assen, he venue he knows well from his time in British Superbikes, where he was a double winner on the road last year (prior to being excluded from one race for his infamous clash with Shane Byrne).

"I'm really looking forward to Assen this weekend. It's the first track on the World Superbike calendar that I have raced at previously so it will give me a great opportunity to get to grips with the Suzuki GSX-R at a circuit I know well. I've been training hard as usual and I'm feeling good, so I'm raring to go for the third round."
