Jonathan Rea heads for his home round of the 2014 World Superbike Championship in an ideal position as he looks to consolidate his newly-acquired series lead at Donington Park.

The Ulsterman's dominant double win last time out at Imola - a third in succession after also claiming a victory at Assen -, has elevated him to the top of the WSBK standings on the PATA Honda, a spot he is keen to maintain at Donington Park.

A circuit Rea takes pleasure in competing on, the PATA Honda rider is a former winner there too after triumphing in 2012, even if his other results there have been somewhat mixed.

"Our data from last year showed that the settings at Imola and Donington were quite similar, so we'll start the weekend with something like what we finished with at Imola. And that wasn't too bad!"
