Chaz Davies says he is eyeing more of the same from the fifth round of the World Superbike Championship at Donington Park after producing both his and Ducati's best results of the season last time out at Imola.

Following an indifferent start to his tenure with the factory Ducati team, Davies turned in a stellar performance at Imola to secure a pair of second place finishes behind Jonathan Rea, results that also mark the best finishes yet for the 1199 Panigale since its introduction in 2013.

With this in mind, Davies is looking forward to returning to home soil at Donington Park and though he admits he hasn't enjoyed the best of fortune there in the past, his efforts in Italy have renewed his confidence heading to the Leicestershire circuit.

"I've had difficulty there in Superbike races in the past but, having said that, I was a lot faster at Imola than I was last season at the same track, so I am hoping the same applies at Donington. It's another of those tracks that's worked well for Ducati in the past, so I'm looking forward to getting started."
