Eugene Laverty is heading into the fifth round of the 2014 World Superbike Championship seeking a return to the podium having slipped down the overall order after a 'difficult run'.

Following on from a disastrous double DNF at Assen, Laverty returned to the points last time out at Imola but could only manage seventh and ninth place finishes in Italy on the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki.

Having slipped to eighth in the overall standings, the Irishman is nonetheless refocusing for the Donington Park event, where Suzuki has enjoyed good fortune previously and where he was a podium winner last season with Aprilia.
