Jonathan Rea moved to the top of the timesheets for a damp fourth and final free practice session ahead of qualifying at Donington Park.
With rain falling just before the session got underway, the riders headed out on track with treaded tyres initially to set lap times some 18secs down on what they had been achieving on the dry first day, but conditions would improve throughout.
With lap times tumbling, it looked as though Ayrton Badovini was on course to go quickest for Bimota, only for WSBK championship leader Rea to move ahead by just over a second aboard the PATA Honda.
Alex Lowes turned in the third fastest time, ahead of Sylvain Guintoli – despite more than one off-track moment -, while Christian Iddon confirmed Bimota's pace in patchy conditions with the fifth best lap.
Toni Elias, Loris Baz, Leon Haslam, Marco Melandri and David Salom completed the top ten, albeit with 3.6secs covering the leading riders.
