Marco Melandri says he is looking forward to making his return to the Sepang International Circuit, a venue where he believes the Aprilia RSV4 will have the opportunity to show its full capabilities.

In what is proving to be a tough season for the Italian, Melandri is yet to win a race since switching to Aprilia and is now languishing 88 points off the overall lead in the standings.

However, with Sepang representing a new challenge for most riders on the grid, Melandri's extensive MotoGP experience - which has raced in Malaysia since 1999 - gives him a slight edge heading to Malaysia, while the long straights and sweeping characteristics of the Kuala Lumpur venue is expected to play to the strengths of the RSV4.

"The races will be very hard given the temperatures and high humidity, but I've been working hard and I want to get back in the thick of things to battle for the positions that count. I'm confident in Aprilia's enormous commitment to put me at ease.
