Sylvain Guintoli has warned rivals that he feels stronger on a race tyre than he does on the qualifier as he continued his 'almost perfect weekend' so far with a second pole position of the season at Sepang.

A firm favourite for pole position heading into Superpole having proven quickest in FP1, FP2 and FP3, Guintoli's second flying lap of 2mins 03.003secs was good enough to keep Tom Sykes and Davide Giugliano at bay by a tenth of a second.

A closer qualifying session than many had anticipated given Aprilia's apparent domination fof the event so far, Guintoli nonetheless says he feels he has an even stronger race package beneath him.
