WSBK Misano: Haslam reveals shoulder ‘aggravation’

Leon Haslam reveals he will be carrying pain in his shoulder at Misano, but it certain it won't affect his performance on the PATA Honda.
Leon Haslam says he is carrying a troublesome shoulder injury to the seventh World Superbike round of the season at Misano, but insists it won't affect his riding.

The British rider went for a scan on the shoulder after suffering with it in Malaysia, with doctors revealing he has aggravated a former injury following an accident at Imola.

Despite this, the PATA Honda rider is certain it won't affect his riding at Misano as he looks to give his flagging season a significant boost.

“I like Misano and I've been on the podium there a couple of times so I know I can go well there. The track should suit the CBR much better than Sepang and although there are still a few issues that need sorting I think we can be positive going into the race weekend.

“My shoulder was quite sore after the two races in Malaysia so I went for a scan when I got home. It's an old injury that I aggravated when I crashed at Imola and, while it doesn't affect my riding, it will need a bit of managing over the next few races.”
