Sylvain Guintoli is confident he can bounce back to form at Portimao after a difficult pair of races at Misano dropped him 39 points adrift of the World Superbike Championship lead.

With series leader Tom Sykes streaking away with a pair of wins at Misano, Guintoli's failure to make it onto the podium means he now faces an uphill task to close the gap on his Kawasaki rival heading to Portugal.

Nonetheless, Guintoli has high hopes for a better performance at Portimao, a circuit where the Aprilia RSV4 has often performed well.
