Marco Melandri says he is eager to challenge for more World Superbike Championship wins in Portimao following his upturn in form over the last two rounds.

The Italian has gone a long way to turn around his season with two wins and two podiums in the last four races, even if he remains 73 points off the overall lead after an indifferent first half to the year with Aprilia.

Heading to Portugal, Melandri is expecting the RSV4 to perform well around the sweeping, undulations of the Algarve venue, while it was there where he claimed one of his three wins in 2014.
