WSBK Portimao: Corti out of Portimao races

MV Agusta's Claudio Corti will not race in Portugal following his accident during Superpole at Portimao.
Claudio Corti will not take part in the World Superbike Championship races at Portimao after hurting himself in a fall during Superpole.

Corti crashed on his first flying lap in the grid-determining qualifying session, the Italian getting caught up with the MV Agusta as they parted to necessitate a trip to the medical centre.

Though not seriously hurt, Corti has been advised by doctors to skip the races in Portugal, meaning there will be no MV Agusta representative on the grid.

With the next WSBK race at Laguna Seca just a week away, it remains to be seen whether Corti will be able to ride in the United States.
