Erik Buell Racing will have three representatives on the grid for the American round of the 2014 World Superbike Championship at Laguna Seca, with privateer entry Larry Pegram to enter as a wild-card.

The American racer will ride the 1190RX machine he competes with in the AMA ProSuperbike series under his own Foremost Insurance Larry Pegram Racing banner.

Pegram is currently tenth in the standings after six events with a best finish of fourth place at Barber Motorsports Park, and will increase the number of EBR bikes on the grid to three alongside the factory-backed Team Hero machines.

As well as Pegram, fellow AMA rider Chris Ullrich has been listed as a wild-card to compete aboard a Honda CBR1000RR sponsored by the WSBK event title backer GEICO.

"I'm excited to be able to race against so many different riders from across the world," Ulrich said. "And I'm really excited to compete in the FIM Superbike World Championship Series.

"I'm going to give this race my best effort and I want to positively represent GEICO. They are the title sponsor of the race weekend, which gives me an extra push of momentum to do well. We've made a lot of gains on the bike this year already, so I feel like we have a good chance at a solid day."

Their inclusion should increase the number of WSBK entrants to 29 riders.
