Yakhnich Motorsport has announced its plans to return to the World Superbike Championship in 2015 with an all-Russian effort spearheaded by its contracted rider Vladimir Leonov.

Yakhnich, winner of the 2013 World Supersport Championship with Sam Lowes and Yamaha, teamed up with MV Agusta for 2014 with a dual-effort in the WSBK and WSS class, but ongoing financial concerns would force the two parties to go their separate ways just seven rounds into the season.

Despite this, Yakhnich Motorsport has reorganised and is working towards a full return in the Superbike class with Leonov, who has competed with the team since 2012, on riding duties and Natalia Lyubimova resuming the team principal role.

It has not been confirmed which manufacturer Yakhnich will work with but the team has been linked with Yamaha's proposed return to WSBK competition in 2015, either as its factory-assisted partner or as an additional satellite entrant.
