Gabor Rizmayer has earned a stay at Team Toth BMW after being called up to replace the injured Peter Sebestyen for the remainder of the season.
At just 19 years-old and with relatively little experience having competed in the European Junior Cup in 2013, Sebestyen endured a troubled debut year in the WSBK class on an EVO-specification BMMW S1000RR, characterised by various injuries.
With this in mind, Team Toth BMW will see out the season with a revised rider line-up, with Rizmayer staying on board to join eponymous owner Imre Toth.
Rizmayer has already completed two rounds with Team Toth after being called up to replace the injured Toth at Portimao and Laguna Seca, the Hungarian – who has made 11 GP starts in his career - scoring points in the latter.
“I like to thank BMW Racing Team Toth for another great opportunity to race on world championship level. After the successful American round, where I finished in the points for the team, I'm looking forward to fight for more similar, and better results at Jerez.”
