WSBK: Nico Terol linked to WSBK move in 2015

Moto2 race winner Nico Terol is anticipated to be making a switch to the World Superbike Championship in 2015 with the Althea Ducati team.
Former 125GP World Champion and Moto2 race winner Nico Terol appears set for a move into the World Superbike Championship in 2015 as part of the Althea Racing team.

The Spaniard, who was a three-time race winner in his second season of Moto2 racing last year with Aspar, has endured a dismal year in 2014, scoring just two points with a single points' finish and currently languishes down in 28th overall.

As a result, the 26-year-old – who also went down in history as the last-ever 125GP champion in 2011 – appears set for a change of direction in his motorcycling career with Spanish media, including MotoWorld.es reporting he is close to a deal that will see him ride at Ducati 1199 Panigale in WSBK next year.

Joining former champions Althea Racing, Terol is tipped to be part of an expanded two rider line-up for the Italian team, though it is uncertain whether current rider Niccolo Canepa will remain, with experienced MotoGP and Moto2 rider Alex de Angelis believed to be in the running too.

Ducati is expected to have increased representation in 2015, with Barni Racing almost certainly stepping up to the WSBK class after winning the 2014 FIM SSTK 1000 title, while 3C is also considering occasional entries after an impressive wildcard showing in Magny-Cours.

exloko: what a DISGRACE, a fuul than him dont deserve to ride, and the last places to run for someone like him is WSBK, since Dorna take over controll (why Flamini Brothers, foking WHY you shell SBK to DORMAfia? thats a betrayal, beleive me) they are using sbk as a garbage bin to save this BAD spanish rider, not the same in case of Elias, who use to be fast (even not always) in past and now, is logical try to recovery a good rider like Elias, DePuniet, Capirossi in his day (he refused, what a fool, could be partner of Checa and have a great Ducati bike) ... if he Elias glinch a good bike i dont doubt he will fight for some podiums at least, hope the arrive of this fuulish dont let out of a good bike anyone... Dorna is capable of give a good bike any bad spanish rider before anyone...is embarrasing...this guy should stay in Moto2...
WTF? Anyone actually understand what this guys i cracking on about?
