Michel Fabrizio could be in line for a return to Red Devils Roma Aprilia after being invited to test with the team he raced with in 2013 at Jerez next week.

The Italian is one of the series' most experienced riders having made 217 starts in a WSBK career spanning eight years, during which time he notched up four wins and 35 podium finishes.

Fabrizio was most recently seen competing with Grillini Kawasaki in the EVO class this season, but parted ways after just four events in favour of a two-event stint in MotoGP with IodaRacing.

Nonetheless, the Italian could well be on his way back to World Superbikes with Red Devils Roma after being invited to test alongside the newly-signed Leon Haslam on the new Aprilia RSV4RR in Jerez on 24-25 November.

Should the test prove positive and Fabrizio signs to join Haslam, it will mark a return to the Red Devils Roma set up having raced with the team for much of the 2013 season, scoring a series of top six results - including a podium at Phillip Island - before moving to PATA Honda late in the year.
