Former MotoGP rider Randy de Puniet showed he is beginning to get up to speed on the Suzuki GSX-R1000 after posting the second fastest time on the third day of World Superbike testing in Jerez.

The Frenchman, who turned his first WSBK laps this week with the Voltcom Crescent team, completed a further 74 laps on the machine, his fastest time of 1min 41.296secs coming after getting a run out on qualifying rubber for the first time.

Indeed, having declared himself happy with his comfort on the bike earlier in the week, de Puniet is already confident he can be a competitive addition to the series in 2015.
