WSBK: Giugliano fastest on damp fourth day

Davide Giugliano goes quickest on a wet fourth day of World Superbike testing in Jerez, ahead of Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea.
Davide Giugliano emerged as the fastest World Superbike rider during testing in Jerez, though poor weather throughout the day would limit track action amongst the WSBK contingent

The Italian continued the good work of the previous week to lap in an unofficial 1min 51.9secs, the Ducati rider emerging quickest on a day when lap times were around 10secs slower than on previous days.

Having opted to test on Wednesday when the weather forecast was favourable, Kawasaki remained on Thursday with Tom Sykes proving second fastest, ahead of his team-mate Jonathan Rea, while Honda's Sylvain Guintoli, Chaz Davies and Randy de Puniet rounded out the top six, albeit having completed only a handful of laps.

The rider with the fastest lap of the test so far, Alex Lowes, completed just three laps, with Voltcom Crescent Suzuki having now concluded their 2014 season.
