Toni Elias believes the new JR Racing team has the capacity to 'surprise' in 2015 as it prepares for its maiden season in the World Superbike Championship.

The former MotoGP race winner and Moto2 world champion switches from Red Devils Roma Aprilia to the new start-up BMW customer team in 2015, which will be headed by Gemma Voces-Pons as manager, feature Troy Corser as its sporting director and receive investment from the Dominican Republic.

For Elias, who will embark on his second full season in the WSBK category, he is confident the choice of bike will see him emerge as a front runner in 2015.
