Chaz Davies says he feels his preparations for the 2015 World Superbike Championship are 'on the right track' as he looks to mount a challenge for the title with Ducati.

The 2011 World Supersport champion is gearing up for his second season with the Italian manufacturer after finishing sixth in the riders' standings last year, notching up four podium appearances on the Panigale R.

With 12 months of Ducati racing experience under his belt, the Welshman is looking to push on and establish himself as a serious title contender for the 2015 championship.

"We've worked very well over the winter and I think that we're on the right track so to speak," Davies said. "I'm very confident about the upcoming season, and I am sure that we can fight for the positions that count every weekend."

Ducati unveiled its 2015 World Superbike Ducati 1199 Panigale R with a bold new livery dominated by the team's new title backing, a design Davies is impressed with.

"The new livery of the Racing - Ducati Superbike Team Panigale R bikes is really great and very aggressive and now I cannot wait to get on track in Australia for the first races of the 2015 season," Davies added.

Ducati has shown impressive pace in pre-season testing, with Davies' team-mate Davide Giugliano topping the timesheets in Jerez with a record-breaking 1min 39.332secs lap.
