Matt Walters has been named as Pedercini Kawasaki's second rider for the opening round of the 2015 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island.

It will be a belated debut with the team for the Australian after he was called up to ride in place of the sidelined Luca Scassa in 2014, only to injure himself during the race weekend as well and withdraw.

Pedercini Kawasaki is yet to announce who will fill its second seat full-time having been listed as TBA on the entry list. David Salom is confirmed to ride one bike and will receive factory-assistance from the official Kawasaki Racing Team.
