Leon Haslam says he is feeling 'confident' ahead of his first World Superbike race weekend on the Aprilia RSV4 following a positive showing during pre-season testing.

One of the most experienced riders on the WSBK grid and looking to revive his career following two difficult years with Honda, Haslam has proven impressive on the Italian bike in testing thus far and comes into the season opener as an outsider for victory contention.

It is a reputation he maintained at Phillip Island as he turned in the fifth fastest time overall, despite not 'pushing to the limit'.
