BMW Racing Team Toth has confirmed that Gabor Rizmayer has been ruled out of the opening World Superbike round at Phillip Island with a broken wrist.
Rizmayer suffered the injury after a spill at Turn 11 in FP2 and will miss the season opener at least as a result and the team is now seeking a replacement rider.
A statement issued by the team said: “BMW Racing Team Toth is sad to announce that Gabor Rizmayer has suffered a broken left wrist during the second free practice of the day at Phillip Island, Australia.
“Rizmayer lost control over his bike at turn 11, and crashed heavily. He arrived to the track's medical centre, and got immediately sent to the hospital for a surgery.
