for WSBK FP4 results from Chang International Circuit
Leon Haslam heads into qualifying for the second round of the 2015 World Superbike Championship in Thailand with the initiative after setting the pace in final free practice.
With wet weather washing out FP3 earlier in the day, the World Superbike riders took advantage of the drier conditions to set personal bests in the shorter fourth session of the weekend, with Red Devils Roma Aprilia's Haslam emerging best of all with a lap of 1min 34.253secs.
It was enough to give him a minor edge over Kawasaki's Jonathan Rea in second place, ahead of Friday practice pace setter Alex Lowes on the Suzuki.
With five British riders inside the top six, Jordi Torres split them up in fourth on the second of the Aprilias, ahead of Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies, while Michael van der Mark and Leandro Mercado – who will both have to come through SP1 to reach SP2 – showed their potential with the seventh and eighth best times.
David Salom and Sylvain Barrier completed the top ten, edging out Sylvain Guintoli and Troy Bayliss, the latter two riders safely into SP2 after the damp conditions of FP3 failed to unseat them from their provisional top ten positions.
