Jonathan Rea was pleased with his third place qualifying position but believes starting from the outside of the front row will be a disadvantage in Sunday's two World Superbike races at Imola.

The championship leader, who has scored an emphatic 190 points from an available 200 thus far, admitted to making one small mistake on his fastest qualifying run.

Rea still came within just 0.12s of Davide Giugliano's qualifying mark thanks to a strong end to the lap.
