Chaz Davies was pleased to have qualified on the front row of the grid for both of Sunday's World Superbike races at Portim?o and believes his race set-up is now much improved.

The Welshman was suffering from a lack of front-end feel on the first day of free practice but set-up improvements allowed him to qualify his Racing Ducati in third place on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking after the 15-minute Superpole 2 session, Davies knows that improvements can still be made in the final sector of the lap but is confident he knows which tyre to choose ahead of Sunday's double header.
