Nicky Hayden will get his first taste of Honda Superbike machinery next month when the manufacturer makes a belated start to testing ahead of the 2016 World Superbike Championship season.
After months of speculation, the former MotoGP world champion was last month confirmed as switching to Honda Racing in World Superbikes for 2016, making him the latest high profile rider to swap to the production-based series.
However, the American will need to wait a little longer to try the CBR1000RR for the first time as he won't be on track until November 16-17, after he makes his MotoGP swansong at Valencia next week.
Hayden will ride the Motorland Aragon circuit alongside Michael van der Mark, while Kawasaki, Ducati and the returning Yamaha will also be present. The WSBK testing ban comes into force from December.
