With the winter testing freeze well and truly thawed out Jerez has been lit up with a number of World Superbike squads, including Milwaukee BMW roaring into action for the first time.

Tom Sykes topped the first day of the unofficial World Superbike pre-season test as his factory Kawasaki team was joined Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, MV Agusta and BMW machinery.

Josh Brookes and Karel Abraham enjoyed their maiden running on the BMW S1000RR with a covert black livery ahead of Shaun Muir Racing's debut in the Word Superbike championship at Phillip Island next month.

Elsewhere, Pata Yamaha's Alex Lowes and Sylvain Guintoli kept their sleek winter testing livery on the YZF-R1 despite launching its new colours last week in Barcelona.
